The Freedom of self driving There is no greater freedom than driving your own car on vacation and having the flexibility to change plans according to your mood -- or the local weather report. Roads in town and most major roads in the countryside are asphalt, with narrow secondary roads usually composed of volcanic gravel. Driving is on the right-hand side, and road signs are international. The speed limit in most towns and villages is 50 km/h and in rural areas 80-90 km/h. Use of seat belts is required by law, and headlights must be turned on at all times day and night. Don't forget to take your valid US drivers license.
So Remember when traveling around the country to prepare your self for a journey of a lifetime.
